On June 21, Inc. as a Sr. Lotus Notes Developer. Its hard to believe but its been over a year now! I’m still loving the job and working there has definitely been fulfilling albeit very challenging at times.
I miss the people at Canam where I previously worked for over 11 years, but I do keep an “eye” on them. I understand the US company is doing much better than they had for the first couple of years of this century. (If anyone there is reading this, drop me a line.)
Recently I went to San Diego with some friends. I’ll be posting a few of those images in my photo albums. Note, but will only be posting about 100 or so.
Photo album “San Diego” now available.
Yesterday, 2005, was Mother’s day. My mother, Charles Mae Floyd, died in May of 1997 and we buried her on the day before Mother’s day. Its tough to know that its been over 8 years now.
This photo was taken only a few months before she died.
This weekend, on a day when I’ll be very sore! Tomorrow I’ll be helping my good friends in PA move into their new place. I’m looking forward to seeing them, but I know I’m going to be using muscles that I’ve not had to use in a while!
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy starts this weekend as well. That may be one movie I will go see in the Theatres. I can’t remember the last time I went ot an actual movie – I usually just wait for it to be on DVD, Payper view or even HBO.
This past weekend I took Kodi to the vet for a long overdue checkup and during the visit the doctor listened to her heart. She said she really didn’t like the sound and suggested we take a closer look. I had to leave Kodi because they were having some problems with their X-Ray equipment. I went later to pick her up and the doctor showed me the x-rays. She showed me her heart and how it was larger than it should be and that it was touching her sternum (chest bone).
I’m going to take her back in a couple of weeks for her boosters and set up an appointment at that time for her to have an ultrasound. The doctor needs to see more of the heart and its pumping to determine if the condition can be treated with medications.
Kodi is close to 10 years old, but should have plenty of life left in her. We’ll see what becomes of the ultrasound when that’s done.
Until further notice I have disabled the Comments posting form so that the 150 or so SPAM entries from the last two days won’t continue to happen. I have updated software that I hope to get installed in the next couple of weeks. We’ll see if that reduces the number of SPAMMERS trashing my site.
I’ve uploaded about 60 some odd photos from Christmas. I have another 10 or so that I need to fix up. Check ‘ em out here.
There are quite a few news articles regarding this theory. What do you think? Do you think that God could do this to the human race? I’m still thinking this one over.
I’m going to wait until I have a better feeling to post my own comments regarding this, on this topic now.
